Marwell Hotel Wedding – Kerry & Dan
Kerry & Dan got in touch with me about photography for their Marwell Hotel wedding. So on a bright, sunny morning, I headed over to Kerry’s parents’ house to cover the bridal preparations. From the moment I stepped into Kerry’s childhood home for ‘getting ready’ pictures and the warm welcome given, I knew this wedding day was going to be filled with excellent people. There was quite a barky sausage dog that didn’t seem too pleased about a visitor in his house while he was stuck in the garden. Even more so when he saw the amount of bacon sandwiches and croissants on offer.
After a couple of slurps from a mighty fine cuppa made by Kerry’s dad and it was to work I went. I got on with taking pictures of Kerry and her bridesmaid getting ready. They were incredibly relaxed and just let me carry on doing my thing.
The Ceremony
After Kerry’s bridal prep I caught up with Dan and the boys at St John’s Church in Hedge End. For anyone that has met Dan, they will know he is one of warmest, most welcoming people you will ever be lucky enough to meet. Dan was bursting. Not with nerves or for the loo, but with pure excitement of getting married to Kerry. Best Man for the day was Dan’s brother, who did a great job of helping keep the excitement under control.
The ceremony finished with a rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In” which was very apt and possibly the loudest singing I’ve heard at a wedding.
Marwell Hotel Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, Dan & Kerry’s guests headed over to Marwell Hotel. The afternoon was celebrated in sunshine and style. The first day of the rest of their married lives and an amazing group of family and friends celebrating their socks off.
Thank You!
A huge thank you to all the guests at their Marwell Hotel wedding. You were brilliant and made getting some great pictures so much easier. Congratulation Kerry & Dan … keep on marching! xx
