The buzz and excitement of bride prep shots is a great way to start the day as a wedding photographer, especially when the sun is shining through a deep blue sky. But it’s even better when the bride is as chilled and relaxed as Jane.
Amongst her hair being styled, make-up being applied, bestest buddy bridesmaid tying her into her dress, groomsmen collecting flowers, friends popping by to wish her luck, her son applying his own make up, her bridesmaid daughter being tempted by a garden of toys, wedding cars arriving and a bunch of other occurings … she took it all in her stride with a warm wedding morning smile beaming out to everyone there.
Over at the church, there was almost a sniff of apprehension in the air to begin with, but as the guests turned up the boys chilled out and Rev. James, the only dude I know who can pull off religious gowns and Oakley shades, welcomed everyone, got Jane & Mike to swap rings and the rest of the official stuff while still keeping it real, relaxed and personal.
The rest of the day was as relaxed as the start over at Marwell Hotel. After a good old wedding day BBQ, Nigel’s best man speech went down a storm, the kids played, the parents partied and I can only imagine Jane & Mike couldn’t have wished for anything better.
